Mizzou softball faces Auburn to kick off SEC Tournament

The Tigers knocked off the Volunteers on Saturday to guarantee they'll only need one win at this week's SEC tournament to have a shot at the NCAA Tournament.

Mizzou softball is heading into the SEC Tournament, where it will compete on Tuesday morning against No. 32 Auburn in the opening round.

The Tigers, who are seeded 11th in the tournament, traveled to Auburn March 27 through March 29, with Mizzou earning its only weekend sweep. Mizzou ended the regular season 28-28 overall and 9-15 in conference play. A loss would cause it to dip below .500 and end any consideration for the NCAA Tournament.
