Baseball Falls in Series Rubber Match at No. 22 Tennessee

Mizzou Baseball dropped its series finale, 7-1, to No. 22 Tennessee on Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols (17-7, 3-3 SEC) used strong pitching and timely hitting to take the rubber match from the Tigers (16-8, 1-5 SEC).

After taking the series opener with an 8-4 win, Missouri dropped the final two games against No. 22 Tennessee, including a 7-1 loss in Sunday’s finale.

The game began as a pitching duel, with each team allowing just one run early, but Tennessee pulled away with a four-run fourth inning.
