Missouri cross country runner Elijah Limo runs in the Cyclone Opener

Missouri cross country runner Elijah Limo runs in the Cyclone Opener on Friday in Ames, Iowa. Limo claimed first place in the race, followed by Mizzou's Raymond Kipkoech in second. 

Both Mizzou’s men's and women’s cross country squads landed a second-place finish during their season-opening meet in Ames, Iowa. There were also a handful of Tigers that cracked the top six this morning.

Elijah Limo and Raymond Kipkoech, a pair of Tiger sophomores, took home first and second place in the men’s 6k race. Limo ran an 18:05.2, with his teammate Kipkoech finishing a few seconds behind him at 18:10.6.
