Mizzou played two rounds of golf in Wichita, Kansas, Monday, sitting in second place at two-under par with 18 holes to play in the University of Oklahoma Intercollegiate.Â
The Tigers were in fifth after Round 1, but had a strong three-under par second round to move into runner-up position.
Melanie Walker and Addie Dobson are tied at fourth individually in the tournament with a two-under 140.
Walker birdied five hole on the front nine in Round 2. In Round 1, she only finished below par on one hole — an eagle on Hole 4.
Mizzou has a lot of work to do in order to catch the leader, Oklahoma. The Sooners have a 5-stroke lead heading to the final round of their invitational.
The Tigers will attempt an improbable comeback starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.Â
