Mizzou softball looks to stay hot against LSU

Mizzou softball is set to host a weekend series with No. 22/20 LSU. The visiting Tigers lead the series 19-13 against Missouri. They last faced off in March 2024 in Columbia, where Mizzou won two out of three games. Both teams were ranked in the top-15 during that series, including LSU at No. 2.

Mizzou is 20-18 this season and 4-5 in conference play after a weekend sweep against Auburn. The Tigers have won their last five games, coming off an 8-5 road win against Missouri State. The team has a .526 win percentage, opening the door to postseason play. Teams must have a .500 record or above to qualify for the NCAA Tournament plus a strong enough resume. But that is not an issue for the Tigers, as they are currently No. 42 in the RPI and on pace to reach an at-large bid.
