Mizzou softball drops Game 1 against South Carolina

Mizzou softball faced No. 25 South Carolina in a game that could have been an offensive showdown. However, things went south as the Gamecocks stunned the Tigers, coming away with a 5-2 victory on Friday in Columbia.

It marked South Carolina's first win over Mizzou since 2019. With the exception of the first inning, the Tigers struggled with both hitting and pitching.
