Mizzou soccer hit the road to open its 2026 campaign against Western Kentucky on Thursday in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It not only marked the beginning of the soccer season but also the first Mizzou game of the calendar year. The match ended in a 0-0 draw despite both teams getting numerous shots off. 

The Tigers had six shots on goal to the Hilltoppers' three, including two from freshman Rylie Morse. Four others recorded a shot on target — senior Brianna Buels, freshman Audrey Gilbert, junior Emily Derucki and junior McKenna Moran. Additionally, four players came off the bench, including redshirt junior Monica Brauner, who logged one shot in the 43rd minute.
