Missouri women's swim & dive capped off their season on Saturday at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta. The Tigers had two divers place in the top 20 of the platform diving finals.
Jazzelle Eikermann Gregorchuck was the top Mizzou finisher of the day in 17th with 256.80 points. Mia Henninger placed right behind her in 18th after scoring 252.25 points. Olivia Liddle was the third diver in the event, ending in 39th with 188.80 points.
In the swimming events, Zara Zallen finished 46th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.86 seconds.
On Friday, Megan Jolly competed in the 3-meter dive, placing 33rd with 278 points. Lina Bank finished 50th in the 200-yard breastroke with a time of 2:12.60.
The Tigers had several individual standouts in Atlanta, but finished the event with no team points.
Mizzou swim and dive will finish their season with the NCAA Men's Championship, starting on Wednesday in Atlanta.
Mizzou track and field wins two events in first outdoor meet
The Mizzou track and field teams traveled to Atlanta for the Yellow Jacket Invitational, taking home two events over the two-day meet.
Marlena Tresnjo won the women's high jump event with a height of 5 feet, 7.72 inches.
Seniors Anna Vedral and Dillon Leacock were the other top-three finishers for Mizzou on Saturday, placing second and third in the women's pole vault and men's 400m hurdles respectively.
On Friday the Tigers took taking home seven of the top 10 spots in women's javelin. Senior Skylar Ciccolini finished first with a distance of 188-6.
Mizzou track & field is scheduled to compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State. The two-day meet will take place on Friday and Saturday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mizzou women's golf sits in sixth entering final day of MountainView Collegiate
The Tigers rebounded from a slow start at the MountainView Collegiate, ending Day 2 tied-sixth heading into the final round.
After finishing 9 above par on the first day, the Tigers responded by finishing 6 under on Day 2. Mizzou stood at 13th place after the first day of competition, rising up the leaderboard as four players finished under par Saturday.
Addie Dobson leads the Tigers, finishing at-par on Friday and two under on Saturday. Dobson sits tied for ninth in the MountainView Collegiate individual leaderboard.
Mizzou caps off the three-day tournament at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday in Tucson, Arizona.
Mizzou tennis falls to Ole Miss 4-1
Mizzou tennis won a single match on the road, losing to Ole Miss 4-1.
The Tigers lone point would come from freshman Alex Ackman, who clinched her first singles match by winning the first set before her opponent retired before playing the third set.
Mizzou next faces Kentucky at 5 p.m. on Friday in Lexington, Kentucky.
Columbia College baseball completes sweep over Harris-Stowe
The Columbia College baseball team extended its winning streak to five games after defeating Harris-Stowe 18-6.
Eric Fields was credited with the win after pitching the first six innings allowing two earned runs, improving his season record to 4-0.
The Cougars offense continued their season long dominance, jumping out to a 9-1 lead in the fourth inning. Seven players had multiple hits for the Cougars, with the infield duo of Eli Miller and Hunter Hees both recording three.
CC will next face Williams Baptist University. The series starts with a doubleheader beginning at noon on Friday in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Columbia College lacrosse routs St. Ambrose
The Columbia College lacrosse team dominated St. Ambrose 18-8 at home.
Midfielder Brock Pleis led the way with six goals and a pair of assists. His midfielder counterpart Drake Morrissey added four goals and five assists of his own.
The Cougars look to extend their win streak to three games when they host Benedictine College at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Columbia.
Columbia College softball falls in doubleheader against Williams Baptist
The Cougars Softball lost both games of a double header against Williams Baptist University in low-scoring affairs.
The Cougars were shutout in the first game in a 3-0 loss. Williams Baptist scored all three runs in the third inning after an RBI double and a two-run homer.
The Cougars kept the second game closer, but fell short in a 5-4 loss. The Eagles hit a walk-off two-run double. Four different Cougars hit RBI singles to spread around the scoring in the loss.
CC will next host No. 17 Central Methodist University in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in Columbia.
Stephens softball splits doubleheader with UHSP
The Stars went 1-1 in their outing on Saturday afternoon against USHP at home.
The Stars took game one, winning 3-1 behind RBIs from Celeste Athon and Katie Dennis. The later pitched the full game for Stephens, giving up six hits and one run across seven innings, while notching three strikeouts.
This win marked only the second of the season for the Stars.
Stephens fell 14-5 in the second game despite being up 4-3 in the fourth inning. UHSP scored ten unanswered runs in the final two innings to split the games on the day.
The Stars next take on Harris-Stowe State University in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday in St. Louis.
