2028 five-star recruit Malia Fang announced her commitment to Mizzou gymnastics Wednesday.Â
Fang is the 12th-ranked prospect in the Class of 2028 according to College Gym News.
She is a two-time national balance beam champion, winning back-to-back titles in 2026 and 2025 in the Women's Development Program National Championships. In 2025, she placed first all around, fifth in vault, and seventh in uneven bars. In 2026, she also placed sixth in vault and eighth all around.
Fang placed first in all around, vault, uneven bars, balance beans, and floor exercise at the 2025 Chow’s Winter Classic.Â
She attends Eagan High School and competes for Twin City Twisters club. Â
Fang officially visited Mizzou in late August, her first official visit. After visiting Columbia, she traveled to Minnesota, Alabama, Michigan and UCLA.
She is the third commit of Mizzou gymnastics' 2028 recruiting class alongside four-star Annie Cole and three-star Karlin Kirk.
After recording the No. 6 recruiting class in 2026 and the No. 22 class in 2027, Mizzou is already on its way to having a well-regarded Class of 2028.
